Bohne Ingenieure GmbH is one of the oldest engineering firms for technical building services in Germany, built on a solid foundation of experience in all aspects of technical construction.Originally founded in 1937 by Karl Bohne in Siegen, a university city in western Germany, we now have offices in Siegen (since 1986), Düsseldorf (since 1996) and Berlin (since 2006). Our partner Markus Beul (MSc Engineering) took on the leadership of our Siegen office in 2001, and our Düsseldorf site has been under the management of our partner Andreas John (MSc Engineering) since 1999.
2010 Hannover office relocates to Berlin.
2006 Hannover office opens.
2001 Markus Beul becomes managing partner of our Siegen office.
1999 Andreas John becomes managing partner of the Düsseldorf office and managing director of our Siegen office.
1996 Düsseldorf office opens with Andreas John as managing director.
1993 Bohne Ingenieure becomes a limited liability company (GmbH); Andreas John joins the company.
1992 Markus Beul joins the company.
1986 Dr.-Ing. Dirk Bohne und Ing. Wolfgang Bohne Ingenieure is founded as a private partnership (GbR) to follow the former firm Bohne, Schuth und Mertens.
1981 Hans-Georg Mertens joins the company as a partner; the company is now known as Ingenieurgesellschaft Bohne, Schuth und Mertens (BSM) and has offices in Siegen, Betzdorf and Koblenz.
1972 The one-man business Wolfgang Bohne in Siegen becomes an engineering partnership called Ing.-Büro Wolfgang Bohne und Hermann Schuth, Siegen. A branch opens in Betzdorf in Rhineland-Palatinate.
1969 The Heiligenhafen site is now known as Ing.-Büro Wolfgang Bohne und Dieter Hermes, Heiligenhafen
1967 Another Wolfgang Bohne engineering office opens in Heiligenhafen on the Baltic Sea coast. The company expands to include installation of heating and air-conditioning technology.
1952 Wolfgang Bohne took over the firm Ing.-Büro Karl Bohne. The company now offers water and waste-water technology. During this period he planned building services for numerous hospital, school, municipal, administrative, residential and industrial buildings. In addition to offering a full-range of engineering services, from initial evaluation to project management, the company also conducts numerous studies and surveys.
1937 The engineer Karl Bohne founds an engineering office in Siegen for heating and ventilation. This was one of the first engineering offices of this type in Germany, specialized in municipal, industrial and residential buildings throughout Westphalia and the Rhineland.
